Some Days Are Slippy

U2 are on the cover of a new sports and music magazine slippy online.

The maqazine is, apparently, 'fresher than your mama's coldcuts', but despite this they do seem to like U2 an awful lot.

Editor Matt Decoste, who got into the band when he was six in 1987, says slippy is 'written by a bunch of nolife college kids looking for something to do.'

'We started this magazine basically cos we are pretty dazed at how boring and unoriginal music and sports magazines are today.'

Their U2 cover story compares the relative merits of other acts including Radiohead, REM, Oasis, Creed and Pearl Jam.

Oh and they love POP.

'I would like to take this opportunity to say that POP was a great album. Yeah, so they went techno on a few tracks, so? I don¹t see many bands these days taking chances here and there. There is soul on that album, there is heart on that album, and more importantly, there are quality songs on that album.

'Please' is one of my favorite songs of all-time. Performed live, as heard on the PopHeart EP, it is one of the most compelling pieces of music I have ever heard ('Just stop fighting, please, let's talk 'please' 'Cause love is big, and love is tough, but love is not, what you¹re thinking of')....'
