Willie Williams and Joe O'Herlihy are two of the key touring personel on the road with U2.

Between them the pair have been working with U2 for forty years, Willie responsible for the Show Design, Joe for the sound.

In the current tour programme Bono describes the fabled time when audio engineer 'Joe the Hurley Stick put his foot on the loud pedal' in Brussels and 'Adam's bass registered on the Richter Scale'. Edge, in the same publication, calls Willie ' a very smart guy' who 'luckily happens to get a big kick out of making rock bands look great.'

On May 3rd, as U2 swept into Cleveland on Elevation 2001, local radio station WBWC 88.3FM hosted its own 24-hour U2 marathon - and both Willie and Joe dropped by to offer an account of life on the road with the band. Speaking to interviewers Mary Cipriani and Todd Richards, they offer a unique insight into working with U2.
