Lunch At Harvard

7 Dec 2005
Bono went back to university yesterday for a discussion on the impact of global AIDS and poverty on Africa.

He spent time discussing global poverty with students and faculty including (pictured) Harvard University President Lawrence Summers and Jennifer Leaning, Harvard University Professor of the Practice of International Health.

Bono has been a frequent visitor to Harvard in recent years, not least as a student learning about global economics from then Professor Jeffrey Sachs. On the band's Elevation Tour in 2001, he took a day out to address
graduates. You can read what he had to say here.

More on the fight against global poverty here.

You can also now download a new duet by Bono and Alicia Keys - Don't Give Up
(Africa) - from iTunes. Each sale raises funds to help families in Africa who are living with AIDS.
